"Cancer enzyme discovered

Australian scientists have scored a world first in cancer research by identifying the enzyme at the core of almost all cancerous growths.The enzyme is telomerase and it's almost undetectable.Researchers say they're hopeful that the ability to block the action of the enzyme in cancer cells will provide a new avenue of treatment. Experts at Childrens Medical Research Institute in Sydney also found that the enzyme doesn't affect non -cancerous cells. They say it will be possible to develop anti cancer treatments which have few side effects.Being able to narrow down the research of protein models from 32 to just two will hopefully mean a faster path to an eventual cure for most if not all forms of cancer."
