ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH.... thank you buddies! - at 2:29 PM I AM SO SIAN MAN! been reading and writing non stop since 8. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.... i need to blog to relax. today's PBL session was CRAP! TOTAL CRAP! one of the trigger given was wrong and they did it on purpose... and the story goes like this: when BRCA1 gene was identified and sequenced, many companies wanted to work on this TSG (tumour suppressor gene) and get results quick to gain reputation. as many companies were rushing for results, this dumb ass company (Wilson et al., 1996. nature genetics, 13,264-265) used immunofluorescence to detect the product of BRCA1 gene. to their surprise the protein was found localised in the Glogi complex (when the rest of the world knows that BRCA1 protien is localised in the nucleus). and apparently their protein was 190 kD in size as compared to the usual 200 kD... yeah, so that was the trigger... we thought of all the possible events that could happen to BRCA1 gene, protein, techniques... the bizarre thing was the company used antibodies that were so inspecific that they bound to another protein, EGF-R that is 190 kD in size... WTH!!!!! best part is that the paper was published in Nature Genetics! omg..........................................  *pray hard that my project won't be so gone case* alrightz... shall continue my PBL questions. dumb dumb... kayaking this sat! HIAK HIAK! melly melly boo boo.
- at 8:44 PM Lone Pine Sanctury: Koalas i love, wallabies i dote, dingos i kissed, kangaroos i hugged, sheeps i touched, dogs i cuddled... NOT! anyway... i managed to touch a small wallaby! hehe... with my index finger. =p HAHAHAHA... can't imagine how mel could go around touching those animals.... omg......................... i was so stressed out due to the fact that i was scared that the creatures might fly or barge into me.. esp the sheeps! i am crazy... NOT!  cute?  so sweet......................... NOT??? why am i so dark!  i cant remember him.

its a male!  A helpful lady took this group photo for us.  mad woman carrying the koala.. i can never ever carry a chick not say a koala... went to city after visitng the sanctury... dinner was at the REGULARs (glenn, ronnie and jian xin's). we (anthony, mel, lim yiew and me!) threw a house warming for them. we had yummy dinner! hoho and i made satay. wahaha... first time and i succeeded! no link~  hehe... you, i miss! side track: That day i was wondering how come the stars can shine so brightly in Australia... then i realised it was due to the little cloud covers and minimal pollutions which presented the clear sky blue that morning and shinny stars at night. How do stars sparkle at night? hmm... all thanks to the sun. the sun burns and explodes giving us our 'light'... at night, the stars and moon shine by reflecting the sun's energy. So how does the sun burn? The outerspace do not contain any Air... or rather, it is a vacum!!! So how can the sun give out energy without oxgen, etc? - at 11:18 AM
